“ We had an outstanding experience at Fish City Grill in Waxahachie, TX! We visited on a Friday evening and were seated within 20 minutes—great start to the night. The chargrilled oysters were exceptional, nearly on par with the famous Acme or Drago’s in New Orleans. I highly recommend them. My mom couldn't get enough of the seafood bisque, and the shrimp and cheesy grits were delicious and definitely worth trying. The honey shrimp tacos were good but a bit spicy, so keep that in mind if you’re sensitive to heat. Whoever was in the kitchen really knew how to season the food perfectly that day. If you go, don’t miss the lobster mac and grilled cheese with hearty bacon—it’s a must-try! Please visit; you won’t be disappointed. ”
“ Stopped in a while back forgot to post. Great service. Lots of seating. Fresh selection prices weren’t too bad either. Calamari was good The seafood selection was great oysters shrimp catfish all on one plate Yumm. Lots of libations to pair with your favorite. 2025 the staff today on January 26 was an example of teamwork. Great service from hostess to Olivia our server and the bar staff. Very impressive and equally was the yellowfin tuna tacos were better than described. ”

“ New favorite seafood restaurant!! I love seafood but struggle to find somewhere that offers a variety of fresh seafood dishes. We decided to try Fish City Grill to celebrate one night and I’m happy to tell you they exceeded my expectations! The service is far above your average service - it’s spectacular! Everyone greeted us and our waitress, Olivia, made us feel special and well taken care of. Olivia was well informed about the menu and offered great suggestions for us to try. She also gave us a delicious sampler as a welcome for our first time. The sampler included the various soups and oyster nachos. I wasn’t sure about oyster nachos but they were amazing! I loved every one of the soups we tried - packed with flavor! We ordered oysters and calamari for appetizers. Both were fresh and so tasty! The oysters came with a fresh sauce that really made the flavor pop! I ordered a frozen margarita and I was very pleased to find they make their margaritas fresh without the pre-mixed syrups. My husband and I each ordered the featured dishes on the chalkboard. My husband had the grilled barramundi and I ordered the yellowfin tuna tacos. My husband is cautious about seafood but found his dish to be flavorful and fresh! He loved every bite! My tacos were fantastic! The tuna was fresh and cooked perfectly, with a beautiful sear that really brought out the flavor. Even my picky eater ate her plate and tried new foods! The atmosphere was very welcoming and everyone was so friendly. If you’re looking for fresh, delicious seafood I would highly recommend trying this place. You’ll be hooked like we were! ”
“ Soooo good! We went here for dinner and I got the snow crab boil, mom got the stuffed flounder. I don’t think I would get the platter again due to price alone I can make at home cheaper but everything was phenomenal. Got a little sampler of soups and oyster nachos and now we can’t wait to go back and try new stuff! Shoutout to the items not on the menu we got fried green tomatoes note - this place is a step above your typical chilis, el fenix, campuzanos. They use fresh ingredients, sauces, garnishes you won’t get at other restaurants in the area. ”

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth, and the experience just kept getting better from there. The food was incredible — so fresh you could taste the quality in every bite. The portion sizes were generous, and the variety on the menu made it hard to choose (in the best way!). Every dish was bursting with flavor — clearly made with care and love. But what made our visit truly unforgettable was the amazing service. A huge shout-out to Kenzie, our waitress, who was bubbly, friendly, and beyond helpful. “ This was my second visit to Fish City Grill, once for lunch and tonight for dinner. We were immediately seated inside and drink order taken. Under the correct weather conditions, the patio seating would be phenomenal! It is right on the little pond and is just perfect. I had Blackened Tilapia with mixed veggies and mashed potatoes. The food was good, service was great, restaurant was very clean. I’ll go back soon for a drink from The Holiday Cocktail Menu!! ”
